Logon Screen Rotator v4 Bug

Hi guys – I am working to find the bug that is making LSR v4 only work intermittently for some users. If you are affected by this issue, please email me (luke@lukepaynesoftware.com) if you are able to run some tests for me. If LSR v4 works fine for you, I would love to hear from you also, and you are, of course, free to keep using it. For those of you this version isn’t working correctly for, you are able to revert to v3.2, by downloading it HERE. Just run the installer and it will replace v4. I have decided to replace the main download link with v3.2 for now also. I will keep you updated, however it may be a few weeks before I am able to put back up v4.

Pixel Ruler

I find a “pixel ruler” to be a very useful tool when doing graphics or programming work. In the hope that others may also find it useful, I have tidied up the version I have been using privately and am releasing it here.

Logon Screen Rotator v4

I am happy to announce and release version 4 of Logon Screen Rotator. There are no major features in this version, but it is well worth the upgrade! There have been a few minor annoyances fixed and the overall layout and flow of the application has been simplified.

Windows 8 Start Screen Editor

I have been working on a start screen (and immersive) editor for Windows 8 that allows all of the various colors, layout and some other aspects to be changed. However, due to a more pressing project that I am excited about, I am yet to finish this. So as to not leave this editor hanging, I am releasing a basic version for the start screen now. This editor allows you to change the background colour and/or image. You can download the current release here.

Small update for KeyStrokes

Installing Windows 8 Developer Preview on another partition without booting from DVD/USB

Small tip for those wanting to install the Windows 8 Developer Preview on another partition easily without having to burn the image to a Dual-Layer DVD or USB device:

If you extract or mount the WDP disk image and run the default “setup.exe” in the root directory, the new style setup will run and you will not be prompted to choose a installation path for Windows. However, if you run the /sources/setup.exe, then an old style setup will be launched where you can choose a “custom” install type and select which partition/disk you want to install Windows to.

Keyboard Notifier

Today, Keyboard Notifier has been uploaded and is available for download here.

A lot of machines these days lack a complete set or even any Caps, Num and Scroll lock key indicators. Keyboard Notifier is designed for these systems or just for those who don’t look down at the keyboard. The notifier sits in the system tray and will let you know the status of each of these keys.

Works as advertised, enjoy

Regular Expression Tester v1.2

The Regular Expression Tester has received a much needed upgrade. You are now able to run multiple tests, either loaded from a file or manually entered, and easily check the results.
